“Alt-rock killer Queen Annabel Lee is rising from the L.A. underground scene biting down a knife as sharp as the lyrics to her song. She started out kicking it in the New England scene, where she would develop that manic, live-wire stage presence and energy that’s characterized her every step of the way. Lee seems to go berserk and believable rumors say that she has the power to induce that savagery in the audience as well.“- LADYGUNN
Annabel is a force in the underground Los Angeles music scene packing every venue she plays (The Echo, School Night, Gold Diggers, Moroccan Lounge, Hotel Cafe and more). She is also the creator and curator of the Sweat Gala, an annual multi-media, fine art rock showcase and art auction in Los Angeles. Annabel has been direct support for Moon Walker and Amanda Palmer tours, and has had songs featured on shows such as Mrs. Fletcher (HBO), Lucifer (Netflix), The Rookie (ABC), and in a national ad campaign for Casper Mattress. She was booted off of Songland by Leona Lewis and Ester Dean said “you’re an artist, don’t give away your song…I love everything about you.”
Annabel’s debut album MOTHER’S HAMMER was released in March of 2023 to critical acclaim. She followed it with a 10 minute short film THE PANIC & THE NIGHTMARE scored by two new songs. The film premiered at her immersive rock event “Night at the Opera” in Los Angeles in 2024 and has since won awards at various film festivals around the country.
She is currently in the studio working with her long-time producer Justin Glasco (Paris Paloma) on her next album.
“The alt-pop frontrunner rises to the tempestuous challenge of the debut album, impressing with the diverse and compelling project. A provoking, consistent and complex album, Mother Hammer is a more than worthy entry into the pop-rock stratosphere, and leaves Annabel Lee poised for a big future.” - Wonderland Magazine
PRESS
Lee switches between punk rock fury and delicate singer-songwriter introspective beauty in a blink. It’s the dynamism of the songs, the unpredictability, that makes Lee’s set such an undiluted thrill. The twists and turns keep coming, and one gets the sense that anything could happen…There are a lot of artists out there under the alt-pop umbrella, and many of them are excellent. But there are levels, and Annabel Lee has the potential to be near the very top.”

“Meanwhile, Lee presents herself on a razor’s edge balance between sultry and chaotic. A dangerous, anarchic combination that’s led her to pack the house at venues like The Echo, School Night, Satellite, and Hotel Cafe”
“Annabel Lee’s new album ‘Mother’s Hammer’ masterful. The album covers a lifetime in 41 minutes and 42 seconds.”
“Los Angeles rock artist Annabel Lee has a fiery new single and video out now titled “Alas, I’m A Lady.” With its explosive orchestral movements and escalating strums, the track is another high-octane piece from the singer/songwriter”
“Annabel Lee is a captivating and bold sentiment of anger that shows no sign of slowing down.”
“High octane!”
“ Annabel Lee possesses a force generated by her ability to write intelligent and relatable lyrics”
“Make no mistake, suffering permeates Lee’s long-in-the-works debut album, “Mother’s Hammer,” but ultimately so does triumph. With a ferocity that matches her live shows (and they are beasts) and a deftness that often eludes blues belters, she unpacks loads of personal baggage without crushing the listener with its weight.”
“No band is more ready to blow up than Annabel Lee. ”
“Obsessed with Annabel’s new album ‘Mother’s Hammer’”
“California-based artist Annabel Lee might be known for her maniacal stage presence and force-of-nature vocal abilities, but we’re not really here to talk to you about that. Because what she’s brought to the table with her new track, “Los Angeles,” is a raw and emotional masterpiece.”
“Track of the week”
“(‘Up’ is) One of my favorite songs right now worthy of your time.”
“Sultry punk immortalizes in Annabel Lee.”
“It’s exciting to watch Annabel Lee”
“There is not a single moment in an Annabel Lee performance you are bound to forget.”
